Tea bowl with lid, Kogutani copy
Tea bowl with lid, Kogutani copy
Details
This is a vintage Kutani copy-e tea bowl with lid. The color scheme of the symbolic yellow and green of Kutani is very modern. The rounded form looks like a fruit orange.
It is a Kutani Seiho (back seal) thing. It is old, but has been stored unused. The age is thought to be relatively recent, around the Showa period.
The slightly larger bowl is ideal not only for drinking tea, but also for serving pickles or olives with the advantage of a lid, making it a perfect to serve intermezzo on the dining table.
Just placing one of these vibrant vessels in the middle of the table as an accent will make the table look very festive.
* NORTA also offers a unique idea of using this item as a candle for an additional fee of ￥330 (tax included). If you wish to use candles, please choose the candle finishing service. Please note that all candles will be made of soy candles. (Please refer to the photo).
